my yes on the second one is more a testament to my getting confused in general over politics than anything else. I do know people who...

Or the fact that it says "ever" in it... Would I ever? Probably more of a chance than I would never.

One might think you were a mathematician.

I was thinking how a mathematician might think when I wrote the question.

You need an "I did wonder..." for the 2nd one. It's not as if I don't have any friends who would vote for him!

Then you would answer "yes" if you wondered, which is fine. What's weird, though, is that your vote on the first question didn't count because you didn't answer the second one. I didn't know that was the case.

Okay, now that is weird. When I click the link from the email, it says only three said "Nah," but when I go to it from LJ, it says four. Stupid Intrewebs.

I had a brief moment--brief--of wonder. Please forgive me. Goes to show how perched we all are. I think I'm starting to get paranoid and I don't trust anyone in this country to follow reason. :-P

I still don't think it was funny, not because I don't have a sense of humor but because I didn't think it was funny. De gustibus non est disputandum.

You're correct; I just spoke about this with my students today. I told them to avoid talking about things that are very subjective, such as likes/dislikes of foods or music. It will be very hard for them to back up their dislike of asparagus just because they don't like the taste of it. Well, duh!

When you said, "Gross" originally, I thought that was quite succinct and apt, considering I know you. I have no problem with that. But to say that my skills need sharpening and that my words were sloppy cut me to the quick without telling me why. As aggravating and aggressive as Gordon is with his retorts, at least I get the criticism. (Even if he didn't get the joke or find it funny in the least himself.) I also didn't mean to sound angry with you. Sorry.
